Trash, Recycle and Yard Waste Pick Up
Trash, Recycle and Yard Waste Picked Up
The Unincorporated Manatee County adopted the “Big Bin Advantage” in October 2025. The County provides a standardized, 96-gallon rolling bin.
All trash and recycling must fit into their appropriate bins. It will not be picked up if material is outside of the bins. Pick up may start as early as 6 a.m.
Please place your trash & recycle bins out to your curb the night before.
Please remove your empty bins from the curb and return to your storage area after service is complete.
The first bin is included in your Manatee County utilities bill and has a unique serial number that is assigned to each home. If you are missing, or have not received your county bin, please reach out to Manatee Utilities at (941)792-8811 or CSS@mymanatee.org. If you require an additional bin, contact Manatee County to arrange delivery, but there will be an additional monthly charge.
Yard waste must be in a separate collection and should be in compostable paper bags, its own bin or bundled and placed at the end of the driveway (under 4 feet and 40 lbs). Yard waste in plastic bags is not accepted.
Manatee County offers single-stream recycling. You do not need to sort your materials. Single stream recycling refers to the "all-in-one" collection of all clean recyclable paper and mixed containers together in the recycle cart, eliminating the need for sorting. All materials are separated for re-use at a materials recycling facility.
